Diploma of Business Administration

A Diploma of Business Administration provides students with an understanding of business skills including management, marketing, human resources and economics. Students will be equipped to progress to an entry level business position or choose to transition to their second year of studies at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus.

The course can be completed over two or three semesters. It comprises of core (mandatory) and elective units. Students will study 8 units in total from the list below, 7 core units and 1 elective unit. The elective unit is dependent on articulation.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Indian Higher Secondary School Certificate (State Boards)

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (Year 12) with an average 55% or above in 4 subjects.

All India School Certificate (CBSE)

  • Successful completion of AISCE (CBSE) with an overall GPA of 50% in best 4 subjects.

Indian School Certificate (ISC)

  • Successful completion of ISCE with an overall GPA of 50% in best 4 subjects

For Bangladesh

  • Higher School Certificate (Year 12) with a GPA of 3.0 of above.
