Bachelor of Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography)
The Bachelor of Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography) provides you with the knowledge and skills to use the latest technology to produce high-quality medical images that can assist medical specialists and practitioners to describe, diagnose, monitor and treat a patient’s injury or illness.
During this four year degree, you will:
- develop a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic radiography including imaging technology, radiographic science, and radiographic evaluation
- undertake significant clinical and professional fieldwork opportunities, providing hands-on experience with real clients in a supervised environment
- develop the advanced technical skills required to operate high tech medical imaging equipment - ranging from small mobile X-ray machines to sophisticated cardiac units.

Cumberland
Located in Lidcombe, the heart of Sydney’s sprawling greater west, Cumberland campus is home to the Sydney School of Health Sciences. Campus facilities include a large health sciences library, specialized laboratories, health clinics and state-of-the-art sports science education facilities. The Cumberland Student Guild manages all non-academic services on campus, including a food court, bookstore and shopping outlets. The University intends to move the Sydney School of Health Sciences from its current location in Cumberland to new facilities on the Camperdown/Darlington campus in 2021. - A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
