In addition to Dance Teaching specific topics, the course also covers important areas like nutrition and anatomy as well as the management of small businesses.

Graduates of this course will be able to work as unsupervised dance teachers as well as supervise others.

The program outcomes for this course are:

• Workers qualified at a Certificate IV level are primarily employed as dance teachers in a private dance studio or manage their own dance school.
• A study pathway to the Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management.
• Preparation for further study and vocational skills with development of study and research skills, language and literacy skills, communication skills, time management, planning and managing projects, interpersonal skills and the development of techniques.
