New Zealand Diploma in IT Technical Support - Level 5

Switched–on problem solvers are in constant demand across the ICT sector. As technology continues to make its way into every aspect of modern life, businesses will require more skilled IT professionals who are capable across a wide range of technical troubleshooting scenarios.

It will prepare people for employment in an entry level IT role in IT technical support, and may also equip people for further IT related study. Graduates will have an awareness of the IT environment, appreciate the needs of users, and be able to provide IT technical support. They will also be able to operate within the applicable professional standards and practice, as part of a team, or independently with a broad level of supervision.

The qualification teaches towards CompTIA A+, CCNA1 and ITIL Foundation.

Level 7 (Bachelor’s degree)

  • Duration: Equal to length of study (typically up to 3 years)

Level 9 and 10 (Master’s degree and Doctoral degree)

  • Condition: Must study at least 30 weeks in New Zealand
