Job Opportunity Potential
On successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Business – Level 7 programme, students will be able to:
- Apply in practice the consistent, coherent body of knowledge which underpins management strategies, managing change and project management in NZ.
- Demonstrate independent learning, critical thinking and an understanding of research methodology within their own area of specialist business interest when applied to the 3 areas.
- Critically evaluate both their own and others’ strategic, change management and project plans with reference to current research and the business environment in NZ and globally.
- Apply the theory of project management, strategic management and change management to a wide range of business and management settings and scenarios.
- Demonstrate confidence in conceptualising, designing and implementing strategic, change management and project plans.
PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
This programme is only available to international students. Applicants for this programme must have:
• A Bachelor Degree, or Equivalent professional experience
• English Proficiency: IELTS academic score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent (please see table below)
TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT) - Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE)
TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) - Score of 60 (with a writing score of 20)
Cambridge English Examinations - B2 First, or B2 First for schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill;

Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PToE(Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
OET - Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests
