The building industry needs more design professionals with technical mastery in their discipline, and advanced knowledge and skills in whole-building performance, collaboration, integrated design, and digital methods.
This programme will provide at-work building design professionals with 'practice-focused' education, and is driven by the need to improve the sustainability and affordability of buildings, which is best achieved by taking a holistic approach to integrated building design.

Job Opportunity Potential
Knowledge gained from this Certificate will provide graduates with the skills to communicate complex design issues, options, and solutions with clients, team members, and other stake holders, including risks and their mitigation.
Graduates will be able to understand key concepts related to planning, building costs, value, quality, aesthetics, resilience, roles and responsibilities, regulatory environment, built environment systems, and sustainability.
PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

Academic entry requirements
A student for the Postgraduate Certificate of Architectural Engineering (PGCertArchEng) must have completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours or equivalent.
