Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Geospatial Science

The primary objective of the Geography and Geospatial Science program is to provide an understanding of the interrelationships between humans and their cultural and physical environments. Factual information is combined with geographic theories to identify, through critical thinking, the spatial relationships found on Earth’s surface. Attention is also given to geographic tools and methods used in the collection, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), global positioning system (GPS) and remote sensing (e.g., satellite and drone technologies). The major in Geography and Geospatial Science will prepare students for various in-demand careers with government agencies, private businesses, and non-profit organizations. Students will also acquire foundational knowledge and skills in preparation for advanced graduate study.
