The postgraduate education program is intended for people currently employed in education, special education or education management, and for those who have an interest in developing their knowledge and practice in these areas. It introduces knowledge and skills in your area of interest, with a focus on understanding and changing practice.

The courses are designed to meet the increasing demand for the professional development of current teachers and other professionals. They are not designed to be an initial preparation for teaching and do not lead to teacher registration. Graduates are suitable for careers in a variety of positions ranging from work as teachers in school classrooms, school coordinators and principals, curriculum and policy advisers in departments of education, and as advisers to government and other policymakers.
PSW Opportunity
International students studying at Flinders University will be eligible to access an additional year in Australia on a post-study work visa, which means Masters graduate can get up to 3 years of PSW visa.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the Master of Education will qualify for either the 2-year or 1.5-year program. Applicants who hold an approved bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible for the basic entry-level and will complete up to 72 units of study. Applicants who hold a bachelor's degree in education, teaching, or a closely related discipline are eligible for the 1.5-year program and will complete up to 54 units of study. Different specializations may have additional entry requirements.
