Diploma of Beauty Therapy
Become a confident and qualified beauty therapist and stand out to employers with CIT’s Beauty Therapy Diploma. This qualification will prepare you to become a professional in the industry and features a specialisation in spa therapies, enabling you to work in 5-star resorts, wellness day spas or beauty salons. In this hands-on course, students practice with clients in our commercial salons.
You will learn about spa and body treatments including spa therapies; stone therapy massage, aromatherapy massage, Indian head massage, reflexology and relaxation techniques. Through our partnerships with Dermalogica and Kryolan you’ll have access to a world-recognised skin care range, industry experts and the latest beauty industry techniques.
Industry Placement
Students practice with clients in our commercial salons and graduate with the confidence and skills to interact and engage with proficiency. Graduates will be 'job ready' to practice and demonstrate the professional skills required for a beauty and spa environment.

PSW Opportunity
Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
