What this course is about

The Graduate Diploma in Spirituality allows students to explore their own spiritual experience in light of theological scholarship in spirituality.  It provides a substantial foundation for further study.  Graduates are able to articulate insights for Christian practice and identity.

Course learning outcomes

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Spirituality:

  • have engaged with personal spiritual experience in light of key themes and approaches in spirituality;
  • have skills and capacities in research, reflection, and communication of key themes and approaches in spirituality;
  • have knowledge of the dynamics of the spiritual life through reflection on personal spiritual experience, integrated with key themes and approaches in spirituality;
  • apply key themes and approaches in Christian spirituality to understanding life, work, and community.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Successful completion of an undergraduate degree, or an approved equivalent.

Attend an interview

It is a requirement that all students attend an admissions interview with an academic advisor at a College. This will be a Course Advisor in the case of coursework applicants, and a Research Coordinator in the case of a higher degree by research applicants. The interview may be conducted by telephone or email or similar means.  The purpose of the interview is to help you choose the right course, to ensure you meet the admission requirements, and to plan a program of study appropriate to your course and your needs.
