Diploma of Business

The higher education Diploma of Business at TAFE NSW prepares you for a pathway into the Bachelor of Business. On completion of this qualification, you will be prepared to work as a business professional in business, human resources or marketing environments across a range of industries in national and international contexts.

You will gain broad knowledge of management, finance, technology information systems and economics. You'll also learn the marketing elements of integrated business strategy to set yourself up for success in any industry.

Upon completion of this Higher Education Diploma, you will be eligible to receive 1 year advanced standing in the Bachelor of Business.

PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Year 12 in one of the following:
All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) with an average of 55% OR
Indian School Certificate (ISC) with an average of 55% OR
Higher Secondary Certificate (State Boards) with an average of 60% OR
Certificate of Vocational Education with an average of 60%

IELTS Score

Academic IELTS 6.0 (with no individual band less than 5.5)

Academic PTE with an overall score of 50 and minimum score of 42 in each component

• TOEFL (iBT) with the following minimum scores: overall 64, Reading 16, listening 16, speaking 16 and writing 16 [9]
• Cambridge English: C1 Advanced - 169 [10]
• STEP EIKEN Grade Pre 1
• SPM English 1119 Grade C6

• International GCSE English as First Language Grade C or 4

• Occupational English Test (OET) with a minimum score of B in each of the 4 components

• Completion of Year 12 (with a pass in English subject) or equivalent or studies at Certificate IV level or higher in Australia
