As a graduate, you may have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers, this may also lead to employment as an early childhood service director or coordinator.
After successfully completing this course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to explore a career in a wide range of early childhood services.
If you have already completed the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, you may be able to complete this diploma in one year instead of 1.5 years.
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is designed to produce educators who are responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating early childhood education and care programs.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A Year 11 pass or the overseas equivalent.
Students must be 17 at the time of Diploma commencement.
Students must to be able to participate in assessable industry placements to successfully complete the course. A current Working With Children Check card is a requirement for placement. Some criminal convictions may prevent an applicant from obtaining a Working With Children Check card and therefore they will not be able to complete the course.
