Master of Professional Accounting

Throughout the course, you will become proficient in integrating advanced theoretical and technical accounting and related knowledge. This includes auditing and assurance, finance, economics, quantitative methods, information systems, taxation law, and business and corporations law.

In addition, you will develop an understanding of research methods and a selection of advanced taxation law and practice, advanced business and corporations law, corporate governance and management.

After completion of this course, you will have the capacity to work and pursue a career in a range of roles, organisations and sectors, both public and private, to provide solutions across a wide array of disciplines encompassed by the accounting profession.

Free workshops
We offer a series of free workshops to give you an edge in the job market. Following the latest Victorian Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) advice, workshops are currently offered online only. These include:
Workshop 1: The standout applicant - How well does your resume attract attention in a competitive environment? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to identify and present your strengths to prospective employers.
Workshop 2: Resume preparation - If you’re unsure how to write an effective cover letter and resume, this workshop is your chance to learn. The workshop also covers how to answer key selection criteria.
Workshop 3: The hidden job market  - Many job vacancies are never advertised. This workshop will help you learn how to look beyond the traditional job market to find these hidden opportunities.
Workshop 4: Developing interview skills  - In this workshop, you'll learn about different interview types and what interviewers look for in attendees. You’ll even get the chance to put your new skills into practice.

Civil construction skills uplift program
Funded to support the Government’s major infrastructure projects, this program provides you with the entry–level skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment in civil construction.

  • Receive training in skid steer and roller operations
  • Obtain your White Card to work safely in the construction industry

MetroHub
MetroHub, our partnership with tunnels and stations contractor CYP Design and Construction, is the integrated recruitment, employment and training centre for the Metro Tunnels’ $6 billion Tunnels and Stations work package.
The Tunnels and Stations package of works will create 5,000 jobs including more than 500 apprentices, trainees and engineering cadets, all supported and facilitated by MetroHub.

MetroHub is working with Holmesglen Skills and Jobs Centres to provide priority job seekers with a gateway onto the project, together with professional development opportunities and specialised employment support.
