BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance
Our BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance program is officially accredited by the ACCA (The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants). Students will normally be granted exemption from the ACCA's F1 to F4, F7, and F9 exams.
In a world that seems to always be facing rapid change one of the few constants is the need for all organizations and businesses to have a clear understanding of their financial position. This applies from the smallest to the largest of enterprises and across all sectors.
The Accounting and Finance course is underpinned by a broad base of general management modules, which are then built upon by studying more specialist accounting and finance topics. This combination of subject areas will provide you with a strong foundation to become a competent financial manager.
The first year of your studies will introduce you to a broad range of management subjects. Typically you will be studying four modules a semester over the two semesters that make up our academic year.
The pattern of your study in the second year is similar to that of the first but you will be studying more focused accounting and finance subjects including Financial Reporting, Financial Management, Taxation, and Management Accounting. In addition, in each semester you will be able to select an optional module of your choice from a selection that is made available each year.

Bishop Otter Campus
Our Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester is set in beautiful surroundings with plenty of relaxing green space and a combination of attractive, historic buildings and excellent modern facilities. Back in 1839, the campus was founded by William Otter, Bishop of Chichester. 180 years later, the University still retains a strong sense of history as original parts still remain. Chichester is a beautiful city which offers a wealth of history and culture. It has many historical places to discover such as Chichester Cathedral, Market Cross and Chichester City Walls. Alongside its history, Chichester is surrounded by breath-taking sandy beaches with East and West Wittering beaches only 20 minutes away from campus. The South Downs National Park begins just 1.5 miles from our Chichester campus. From rolling hills to bustling market towns, the South Downs National Park's landscapes cover 1,600km² of breath-taking views and hidden gems. With Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton all under an hour away, the University of Chichester is perfectly placed for exploring the south coast.
