MSc Events Management

The event industry is one of the youngest and fastest-growing industries in the world today, playing a key role in economic development and social wellbeing, and stimulating business and leisure travel - both nationally and internationally.

By studying our MSc Events Management, you will be equipped with in-depth knowledge and understanding of planning, organizing and evaluating the impact of a wide variety of events in a range of different industry sectors. Wide-ranging expertise

Events span a huge range of activities, from highly-publicized international sporting events, concerts, charity fundraisers, corporate promotions, conferences, and exhibitions, to performing arts and cultural festivals, national and regional events, and locally-run festivals. 

The course brings together our established and internationally-recognized expertise in event studies, and business and management, to give you a solid grounding in the various concepts and issues, research techniques and examples of good and distinctive practice across this diverse field.

Industry experience

Gaining practical experience of working in events and festivals is a compulsory part of the course, providing you with invaluable industry experience.
