You could choose to chart your future career in sport coaching, in education or in a combination of both. There are also interesting roles in broader areas such as physical activity co-ordination, sport and health development, fitness and recreation management, and health promotion.

In addition, this degree serves as a springboard to postgraduate education in Sport. You could, for instance, consider masters level courses such as our MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Science or MSc Clinical Exercise Science programmes.

If your studies have spurred your interest in a teaching career, you will also discover multiple progression routes at the University of Derby. These include our PGCE Primary, PGCE Secondary (School Direct) with Qualified Teacher Status or PGCE Post-14 (Education and Training) programmes, all of which are based at the Derby Campus. Entry to these courses is subject to you meeting initial teacher training entry requirements.

• 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
• 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

FOR INDIA

• Students with a minimum average of 65% in the Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Examination can typically be considered for direct entrance to Bachelor degree programmes
• Students with a minimum score of 60% in the Certificate of General Nursing and Midwifery from State Nursing Boards or Councils can be considered for entrance to the second year of a related degree programme.

• Academic or UKVI IELTS no older than 2 years and must meet the requirement of the course of study.
• Cambridge IGCSE English with Grade C
• Completion of UK degree in the UK within the past two years.

For most of our programmes at bachelors degree level and above, you will normally need an IELTS score of between 6.0 and 7.0 with a pre-requisite minimum score in all areas. (speaking, reading, writing and listening). We will accept one of the alternative equivalent qualifications below:
