What you'll study
History challenges you to analyze the individuals, events, and forces that have shaped civilization. You'll acquire proven methods to interpret cultural influences in both western and world history, and you'll go deeper with advanced courses such as The Great Depression, History of American Immigration, and Vietnam.

Philosophies and cultures of the past come to life with the passionate faculty of the Department of History and Political Science. Gain hands-on experience with an internship in history, and delve into research during your Senior Seminar in History. As a history major, you’ll also explore courses in the humanities and performing and visual arts.
