PSYCHOLOGY (MSc)
Liverpool Hope MSc Psychology is designed as a conversion course and is accredited by the British Psychological Society. It offers graduates from other subjects the opportunity to start a new career in Psychology. In addition, the course is available to Psychology graduates who completed a Psychology degree which did not have accreditation from the British Psychological Society.
On successful completion of the course with an overall pass mark of 50 or higher you will become eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS). GBC is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. Eligibility to GBC is the prerequisite for entry onto postgraduate and professional training courses offered by the BPS.
The course covers the key topics of Psychology such as Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Personality and Individual Differences and underpins these topics with research carried out in the Department. It has a strong component of Research Methods and Statistics which enables the successful candidates to design and conduct research not only in Psychology but also in other areas of social sciences.
The course is taught at Liverpool Hope Psychology Department. The Department is research active with increasing strength in applied areas of Psychology. As a Masters student of Psychology you will be directly involved in ongoing research projects as part of your learning experience.

Hope Park
Hope Park is our main teaching campus and is situated in Childwall, a leafy suburb of Liverpool. The campus is a mini educational village with places to live, work, study, eat and relax.

Part-time work on campus
We have a variety of jobs on campus that are exclusively for Liverpool Hope students. Work up to 10 hours a week on campus to support yourself while you study, gain experience in the workplace and meet new people.
PSW Opportunity
- The Graduate Route is a new UK post-study work visa to be introduced for international students graduating in summer 2021 or later. It will allow you to live and work in the UK for up to two years after your degree.

- Masters degree from a university in Bangladesh (when following a 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree)
If you are applying for an MPhil, you should normally possess a Masters degree which matches the descriptor for a Level 7 qualification in the UK Framework of Higher Education Qualifications i.e.
- Masters degree from a UK University; or
- An equivalent qualification from outside of the UK
In addition, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in written and spoken English.
