Studying Mechanical Engineering in GMIT
You will learn how machines and other mechanical systems work and how they are designed and controlled, including:
- How the gearbox, clutch, and engine in a car operate
- How medical devices are fabricated and designed
- The key properties of the materials used in the manufacture of these components
- Methods used to fabricate and control these products
The workload is balanced between approximately 50% formal lectures and 50% of laboratories and workshop practice.
