Intercultural Communication MA
In the 21st century, meeting, working and communicating with people from across the globe has become part of everyday life. This diversity of culture brings with it a need for businesses and organizations to reassess their communication strategies to ensure that their internal and external communications are fully effective. Lancaster University’s MA in Intercultural Communication is designed to equip you with the expertise to advise on and implement effective communications in a range of multicultural settings.
This Master's program gives you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of communication across cultures by drawing on both linguistic and social theory. You will study modules on intercultural communication and research methods. Our aim is to provide a strong background in subject-specific knowledge and develop your skills in a range of analytical methods. You can also select from a range of optional modules, offering an opportunity to follow your own interests.
Our teaching approach usually combines tutor-driven lectures and student-driven seminars, assessments that require autonomous work and group work.
Many graduates of the MA in Intercultural Communication go on to Ph.D. studies at Lancaster University or other universities.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree at least 3 years in length with at least 60% overall, with at least 55% in each year (year 2 onwards)*.
Indian Standard XII English at 80% or above
English language requirements for the majority of our Master courses:
IELTS Academic test (UKVI Approved) with an overall score of at least 7.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element; or
IELTS Academic test (Other Centres) with an overall score of at least 7.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element; or
Pearson PTE Academic with a score of at least 65 and a minimum of 50 in each component of the test; or
ToEFL IBT with an overall score of at least 94, with a minimum of 19 in reading, 19 in listening, 19 in speaking and 22 in writing
The English language requirements for PhD:
IELTS Academic test (UKVI Approved) with an overall score of at least 7.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element; or
IELTS Academic test (Other Centres) with an overall score of at least 7.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element; or
Pearson PTE Academic with a score of at least 73 and a minimum of 50 in each component of the test; or
