COURSE DESCRIPTION

Over the past number of years, new media and technology have revolutionised how fashion is seen and communicated, and led to an increase in the demand for fashion communication and styling professionals. Both of these areas demand visionary, adaptable, and informed individuals who are experts in words and image.

 In the luxury world, communication is a strategic lever that is becoming ever-more indispensable. Our course teaches you to convey, update, tell the story of, and promote the essence of brands on the main traditional and online media channels. You will learn to manage activities linked to advertising and other branding and promotional tasks, as well as how to manage investments and define the best marketing strategies.

The fashion stylist designs and takes care of the brand or fashion collection image through photoshoots, fashion shows, events, advertising campaigns, or publishing or communication projects. The styling part of the course enables you to use your creativity and technical knowledge to be able to build a unique and exclusive image by interpreting brand identity, values and aesthetics. You will learn to recognise and anticipate seasonal trends and to realise the importance of always being up-to-date on the current fashion scene.

Subject areas include topics such as the history of art, and an overview of fashion and design, to lay the foundation for you to develop your skills and knowledge, and giving you critical awareness of the social, cultural and historical factors that influence the professional environments in which you will work. QUALIFICATION

Once you have gained the 180 ECTS and have completed the necessary language requirements, E.A.B.H.E.S. will validate your studies and issue you with a European Bachelor of Fashion Design (EBFD) Major: Fashion Styling & Communication.

YEAR 1

The first year covers the core elements of the Fashion System, introducing students to a wide range of technical skills that will serve them over the following years and throughout their career.

YEAR 2

The second year of the course allows students to deepen their understanding of the Fashion Styling and Communication areas and further expand their skills. Students learn the techniques that will allow them to start work on the project that forms part of the third year and will be their professional passport for the future.

YEAR 3

The third and final year of the Bachelor’s in Fashion Styling & Communication offers advanced training in the main skills needed to work as successful fashion stylists and communication professionals. During this year, students hone their skills by developing their own individual projects under the supervision of experts. Once this year is completed, students are fully prepared to enter the industry with a unique style and identity.
