PGDip Mindfulness and Compassion

Research has shown that positive emotions, such as equanimity and loving-kindness, can be enhanced by practising mindfulness and compassion. Such techniques therefore can be used in a range of personal and professional contexts.

Improve an individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing, reducing anxiety, depression or stress, leading to healthier lifestyles and more satisfying relationships.

Delivered in partnership with Mindfulness CIC, a specialist mindfulness training organisation, this exciting new blended part-time course will develop a clear understanding of mindfulness and compassion, its origin and the development of personal practice and teaching practice. You will be expected to lead meditations and introduce mindfulness to beginners, strengthening your own meditation practice during the four day residential each semester.

The course is delivered online and one 4 day residential (Friday-Monday) each semester, making it possible for those living and working at a distance from the university.
