Law has been taught at Coventry University for nearly 50 years and we benefit from high levels of student satisfaction, 93% overall in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2016. Building on existing legal knowledge and experience, this course aims to help you to acquire a general knowledge of international law and legal regulation with the opportunity to choose from a large number of specialist international law modules, in areas such as business, human rights and corporate crime.
There will be opportunities for you to develop analytical, critical, communication and presentational skills, much valued by employers. It is an ideal entry route into careers in law teaching and research, government service, the judiciary, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and private practice.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in Law, or a joint honours degree where Law has been studied to an appropriate level. This course is aimed primarily at law graduates, legal practitioners (solicitors and barristers) from the UK and other jurisdictions, and politics and business graduates with some knowledge of law.
India
Students must achieve 60% in a 3 Year Undergraduate Degree or 55% in a 4 Year. Undergraduate Degree Students from the following Universities will be considered with 55% in a 3 Year Undergraduate Degree (unless applying for Health and Life Science courses): Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai (Madras), Anna, Amity, Andhra Pradesh, Aligarh Muslim, Pune, Bangalore, and JNTU.
65% in Standard XII English language from certain examination boards only (Central boards, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Uttarakhand)
OR
IELTS 6.5 overall with no component lower than 5.5 (except where course requirements are higher) and other acceptable SELT tests such as the Pearson Test of English (PTE).
Students not meeting the above can take the Coventry University English Test.
