Civil Engineering /Construction Materials Engineering - Bachelor's Degree

HCMUT - Bach Khoa, offers Bachelor of Civil/Construction Materials Engineering for International students, with scholarships and financial aids consideration, opportunities to transfer to partner universities in Australia, USA.

OVERVIEW

Civil Engineering
The curriculum provides students with skills and knowledge of planning, designing building construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects.

Graduates can work in international construction & civil companies as a designer, construction project manager and so on… enables future engineers to be at the forefront of serving society.

Construction Materials Engineering

Construction Materials Engineering focuses on the mechanism of the interaction among the material components in construction materials mixture; the response of the materials used in the construction structure; the interaction and response of the materials when subjected to external forces and environment.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Civil Engineering

After graduating the Civil Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach Khoa) (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology), engineers can take a lot of work in the fields of Construction and Civil Engineering as:

Design and constructions, design verification, construction project management, construction examination, and inspection
To become lecturers and research staffs for international universities
Companies recruiting graduates from HCMUT – Bach khoa (HCMUT) are Bachy Soletance, Meinhardt, Apave, Aurecon, CPG, Arup, Unicons, Coteccons, Cofico,…

Construction Materials Engineering

Construction Materials Engineers are responsible for the research, specification, design, and development of materials to advance technologies and products of many kinds.

The career opportunities for students graduating with the Construction Materials Degrees are various. Some employers, but not restricted to, are as following:

State-own agencies related to construction materials.
Engineering consulting firms in the private sector (domestic and foreign).
Construction material factories.
Construction Materials Engineers may involve in various tasks which depend on the industry and material they work with and the size of the organization they work for. Some common tasks are listed, but not limited to, below:

Selecting the best combination of materials for specific purposes;
Testing materials to assess specific qualities (such as electrical conductivity, durability, renewability);
Developing prototypes;
Advising on the adaptability of a plant to new processes and materials;
Supervising quality control throughout the construction and production process;
Advising on inspection, maintenance and repair procedures.

TRANSFER OPPORTUNITIES
Students have 2 options:

Option 1:

Students study at HCMUT – Bach khoa (HCMUT) for 4 years and get the Bachelor of Civil Engineering awarded by HCMUT – Bach khoa (HCMUT).

Option 2:

After completing 02 years at HCMUT – Bach khoa (HCMUT), students with financial and academic eligibility may transfer to our following partners universities in Australia and USA the later 02 years to complete their study for Bachelor degree:

Griffith University (Australia)
The Catholic University of America (USA)
The official bachelor degree is awarded by the partner university.

The advantage of this option is that the student can save about 50% total fee (tuition fee and living expense) compared to studying for full 4 years in Australia to get a Bachelor Degree awarded by the partner university.
