Applied Mathematics (Structured PhD)
Course Overview
All Ph.D. students in the College of Science will enroll in a Structured PhD
The research activity of the discipline covers a range of topics in both Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, with particular emphasis on dynamical systems, numerical methods, quantum computation, conformal field theory, modeling and mathematics of biology. Members of the discipline are involved in joint projects with other disciplines and research units within the University, such as the Stokes Cluster for Applied Mathematics, the Complex Systems Research Centre, the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science or the Biomechanics Research Centre
