Cyberpsychology, BSc (Hons)

Reliance upon, and use of technology has become part of our everyday lives.  Whether this is simply using online resources for shopping, healthcare or leisure or understanding the impact of new and emerging technology upon business, education and governance our digital lives are constantly increasing.  Consequently understanding the psychology of human interactions via a digital world, or our interactions with digital technologies has emerged as a new and exciting field: Cyberpsychology.

This is one of the UK’s first undergraduate Cyberpsychology degrees and draws upon the extensive links within the School of Psychology to deliver a course accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as providing Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) for those graduating with at least a Lower Second Class Honours degree. As such this course covers all the core areas of the psychology that are required for progression to postgraduate study, and eventually Chartered Psychology status but does so with additional coverage of the new and exciting field of Cyberpsychology

Taught in world-class learning facilities (QS World Rankings) by enthusiastic, research active staff many of whom work within the field, our goal is to help you to fulfil your potential.  As part of the course fee we provide you with Student Membership of the British Psychological Society, which ensures you are aware of the career prospects available to you and receive other benefits including the monthly magazine ‘The Psychologist’.

Employment prospects for those graduating from the course are expected to be high - currently the School sits amongst the top 25 nationally for psychology graduate employment in graduate level roles within six months of completing the course.
