Accounting (ACCA), MSc

The MSc Accounting (ACCA) is designed for graduates who have studied an accounting degree and would now like to extend their knowledge, complete the ACCA examinations and research an area of interest in the field of accounting and finance.

The course is unique in that it is driven towards preparing students to sit the ACCA Professional Level papers. Each semester the course modules will follow the relevant ACCA syllabus and so allow students to enter for the ACCA Professional exams at the end of the semester.

The course is ACCA approved and will be delivered using the ACCA official study material (produced by Kaplan Publishing).

Over 18 months, students will sit UCLan exams to complete the Masters course, ACCA Professional exams to become ‘exam qualified’ with ACCA and be guided through an area of their choice to complete a dissertation to finish their Masters study.

UCLan will assist the better performing students on the course with the cost of the ACCA exam exemptions and examination fees (terms and conditions available on request).

After completing the course successful students will be fully exam qualified with ACCA as well as having an MSc in Accounting.  This opens up career opportunities in the world of accounting with only the completion of the Professional Experience Record being required to gain full ACCA membership. Additionally it will be an excellent step in to the academic world as the course will develop student’s research and academic skills as well as sparking their interest in areas of potential further study.
