Master of Enterprise Research Chemistry

The Master of Enterprise [MEnt] is run jointly by the School of Chemistry and Manchester Enterprise Centre. The course has been designed to combine Masters level research, sound business theory and the practical enterprise skills needed to apply that knowledge in a business context.

The Master of Enterprise degree reflects the nature of knowledge-based enterprise and innovation. Students develop ideas from their discipline into new products and services. The School of Chemistry has particular strengths in biological chemistry and organic synthesis, computational and theoretical chemistry, materials chemistry (inorganic and polymer), magnetic resonance and structural chemistry, radiochemistry and environmental chemistry and nanoscience. Manchester Enterprise Centre provides the enterprise element of the course and support in the business development activities undertaken by students. Each student has at least one subject supervisor, an enterprise supervisor and potentially a business mentor from a relevant industry sector.
