International Business Communication (IBC), BA(Hons)
This course offers students the chance to study in a truly international environment. They will develop a high degree of competence in English language and communication skills, understanding the role of the international manager and the skills required to manage successfully in international and intercultural contexts. Our students have the opportunity to study specialist content modules in a wide range of business topics as well as to develop the necessary project management and research skills, giving them an advantage, whether going on to postgraduate study, or getting that first job.
The University’s quality stamp in English language provision is officially accredited by the British Council. We are also a provider of the Certificate in International Business English Training, accredited by Trinity College London and English UK professional bodies.

There are a variety of different ways you can access our Preston city campus, whether by rail, road or air. Preston is well served by the M6 motorway both north and south and excellent cross country rail links. There are also two major international airports in Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon.

Year two (Level five) Minimum CEF low B2, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent and at least one year of undergraduate study in a field related to English Language and/or Business in English.
Year three Direct entry to Preston Campus (Level six) Minimum of CEF high B2, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent and at least 2 years of undergraduate study in a field related to English Language and/or Business in English.
