International Business (Year 3 entry), BA (Hons)

Go global and prepare yourself for a career in international business through this specialist degree which combines the theoretical tools and analytical skills required by successful international businesses with a global perspective. Direct entry into Year 3 of this programme is ideal if you already have a Foundation Degree, HND, DipHE or equivalent in a related subject area, enabling you to complete an Honours degree in one year. You’ll build on your previous study of business and management whilst developing the key intellectual and vocational skills that will enable you to succeed in a global business environment.

Direct entry onto Year 3 of this programme provides an opportunity for graduates of an appropriate Foundation Degree, HND, DipHE or equivalent to complete an Honours degree in one year. It also provides an opportunity for students from overseas institutions who have completed two years full-time higher education, specialising in business and management studies, to gain a British undergraduate honours degree in one year.

The aim of the programme is to build on your previous study of business and management whilst developing the key intellectual and vocational skills that will enable you to succeed in a global business environment. Global strategy is discussed and the skills for personal and professional knowledge and planning are developed. In addition, there is a wide range of optional modules which enable you to focus on those aspects of international business that interest you most. With its international focus, the course is particularly suited to students from overseas. By the end of the programme you will be an independent learner with the skills, knowledge and experience to make informed decisions about your future career. The course will also provide a sound foundation for those students who may seek to pursue a postgraduate business course upon graduation.
