BEng in Industrial Internet of Things (Hons)
The aim of this course is to present a broad perspective on applications that use the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies. Classes will feature guest lectures from leading industry players to discuss how the industry is being shaped and transformed by the IIoT.
Lectures will include specific application examples and case studies along with the big-picture view of the industry. The start-up and venture capital views of IIoT opportunities will be complemented by the views of enterprises operating in specific vertical markets for the IIoT.
You'll look at the convergence of secure Operational Technology (OT) and data produced by its networks, and IT in the IIoT. The course will focus on this aggregated big data and its use in creating new value and how it can be added to new applications.
