Scope of work of a social worker is helping "people and communities in need, involving identifying, understanding, assessing corectly and solving social problems".
Graduates of social work in Romania can work in state institutions (departments in municipalities, directorates of social assistance, prisons, schools, hospitals etc.) or non-governmental organizations providing support to people in need - people age third, children, dependents, families in crisis, people with disabilities.
