Our Engineering Pre-Masters courses are an effective way to kick-start your studies in the UK. Aimed at international students who do not directly meet the entry requirements for our masters courses in Engineering, this Pre-Masters course can prepare you for success in your postgraduate studies. In addition to the course-specific knowledge you will acquire, the Pre-Masters will improve your study skills, and provide you with advanced-level English language training.

This course aims to develop confident, well-rounded students that meet the entry requirements to progress into postgraduate study in Engineering. Teaching includes problem-based learning, project development, and a focus on case studies.

You will be taught by a combination of interactive lectures, seminars, and group discussions, as well as practical laboratory sessions and self-directed study. This course is 100% coursework-based, with no formal exams.

The English-language teaching and study skills form a key part of this course; as well as first-class teaching, learning alongside native speakers will help to develop your linguistic abilities and confidence. Lessons will focus on academic writing, research skills, speaking and presentation.
