Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
Program Available At Hamilton and Tauranga Campus
If you want to lead the way in innovation, improve infrastructure, build smarter technologies and find alternative energy sources, our Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) will help you achieve just that. The degree focuses on how problems can be solved by using design and engineering processes. At every stage of the degree, students will be involved in creating, designing and realizing sophisticated engineering
products. In their first year, students complete a number of compulsory papers including Foundations of Engineering, where teams of students are challenged to design and build model boats over the course of a trimester, culminating in a race day on the University’s Oranga Lake. In the second year, students begin to specialize, depending on the
program they have chosen to study. By the end of the fourth year, students will have also completed a major research and design project with the potential for commercial application.
Note:- The program will take 4.5 Years if Started in July

Hamilton campus
Our main campus is located in the vibrant, multicultural city of Hamilton, with outdoor activities, shopping malls and eateries only a short drive away. On campus, you’ll find a new state-of-the-art Student Centre, sporting facilities, cafes and eateries, car parking, subsidised bus services and more.
Tauranga campus
Our Tauranga campus is located in the heart of Tauranga’s CBD, surrounded by eateries, shopping and accommodation options. The campus itself is a brand-new multi-level building, featuring all the same student services as the Hamilton campus, with the advantage of being in the middle of the city.

PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
