  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

All undergraduate applicants must have earned a U.S. high school/secondary school diploma or its international equivalent with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Applicants from outside Singapore should visit the International Students page for minimum entry criteria by country. Applicants from Singapore can use the following international equivalents for guidance:
Two "A" level passes (minimum Grade D) and five "O" level passes (minimum Grade C); or
Polytechnic diploma in any discipline with a CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0; or
IB Diploma with a cumulative of 30 points across six subjects.
Undergraduate applicants who already possess a bachelor's degree or have completed post-secondary school coursework from an accredited degree-granting institution must also have a 3.0 CGPA or higher. High school/secondary school graduates are eligible for admission at the beginning of each academic term. High school/secondary school students may apply at the end of their junior (second to last) year.
Minimum age of 16 years old.
Applicants for whom English is not the primary language must meet the Minimum English Language Requirements.

Applicants for whom English is not the primary language must either:

Attain a minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 550 (paper-based) or 79-80 (Internet-based).
Attain a minimum score on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 6.0.
Attain a minimum score on the Duolingo English Test of 105.
Attain a minimum score on the Cambridge English Language Assessment of 170.
Attain a minimum score on the EIKEN Test in Practical English Proficiency of Pre-1.
Earn transferable credit for a course that is the equivalent of ENGL 123 English Composition at an accredited postsecondary institution.
Display evidence of attendance and graduation from a secondary school in which the language of instruction was English.
