Our BSc in Mathematics, Statistics and Financial Economics is for mathematically excellent students who want to apply their numerical and analytical skills to succeed in a career in the world of economics, investment banking and finance.
In your first year you’ll gain a solid foundation in all the major areas of mathematics, and from second year onwards on the programme is evenly split between mathematics and economics modules. The former will focus on statistics and probability, and the latter will cover markets, institutions and corporate finance.
Joint teaching from the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Economics and Finance means you learn from experts across both fields and benefit from the facilities and support of two academic Schools.

- 2 Years PSW is applicable after the course completing (Bachelors level or above).
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A-Level Grades AAA at A-Level. This must include A-Level Mathematics. Excludes General Studies.
- IB International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 36 points overall, including 6,6,6 from three Higher Level subjects. This must include Mathematics at Higher Level.
- Access HE Access qualifications are not considered for entry to this programme.
- GCSE Minimum five GCSE passes including English at grade C or 4.

FOR INDIA
- Students who have successfully completed Standard XII examinations will be considered for entry onto our undergraduate degrees across the full disciplinary spectrum.
- As a minimum requirement, students who have taken Central Board/State Board examinations and achieved in the range of 75% to 85% will be considered for first year entry.
Students who have achieved in the range of 60% to 80% (Central board/State Boards) may be considered for entry onto the Foundation Programme.
