Internships and Placements
Get ahead in the world of work with an industrial placement. Thanks to our strong business partnerships and cutting-edge applied research activities, we can offer you a wide variety of opportunities from short internships to year-long paid placements. More than half of our undergraduate programmes offer placements as part of the degree. See the progression tables on pages 39 and 43 to find out which degrees you can progress to that offer a placement.

• Employer presentations and seminars, where you can meet, learn from and network with potential employers.
• Help securing part-time jobs and volunteering work to develop your skills and CV.
• Support securing internships and placements to provide you with the experience and skills employers demand.
• Access to Job Search: an online database used by thousands of employers to advertise vacancies both during your studies and upon graduation.
• Advice on opportunities to study abroad or as part of a global exchange.
• Career clinics provide one-to-one appointments with a professional career adviser.

India

Minimum 60% in each subject from XII Standard exams
Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 can be considered with equivalent study from Bachelor's degree

For programmes requiring an IELTS 6 with no element below 5.5 (or equivalent), we can accept 70% in standard XII English as evidence of English language.

Undergraduate
High School Graduation Diploma completed with a G.P.A of 2.7 plus one of the following:

ACT Composite score of 24 minimum 
SAT(post March 2016) – score of 1000 minimum
SAT (pre March 2016) – score of 1500 minimum
AP’s - Generally we are looking for 2 Advanced Placements at minimum grade 3
2 SAT Subject Tests at a minimum score of 500
For some programmes across our academic schools, we will require ACT or SAT combined with AP’s or SAT subject tests at higher grades or in specific subjects

Year 1
Scottish Higher: Standard entry requirement: BBBB (incl either Maths/ Computing) Nat 5: C (English and Maths) if not achieved at Higher level
Minimum entry requirement*: BBCC (incl Maths/Computing) Nat 5: C (English and Maths) if not achieved at Higher level
A level: CCC (incl Maths/Computing) GCSE: C/4 (English and Maths)
ILC Higher: H2 H2 H3 H3 O2: (English and Maths/Computing) if not achieved at Higher level
IB Diploma: 24 points (incl Maths/Computer Science)
BTEC: MMM Ext Dip in relevant subject GCSE: C (Maths and English)

Year 2
A level: 120 UCAS tariff points (incl minimum D in Computing/Maths)
BTEC: DDM Ext Dip in Computing (incl Maths) GCSE: C/4 (English and Maths)

If you have completed a Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF level 6 in a relevant discipline this would be equivalent to two highers at B.
