Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours)
Mechanical engineers work with machines and mechanical systems to develop better manufacturing methods. This program teaches you the finer points of engineering and machine design, fluid mechanics and production engineering, with options to specialise in areas such as electrical and electronic engineering, mechatronic engineering, town planning studies and supply chain management.
In this program you will:
- Learn how to use mathematical and scientific principles to solve a wide range of technical problems
- Get plenty of hands-on experience, including 12 weeks work experience with professional engineers
- Complete a major final-year research project on a topic of your choice
- Learn from industry professionals through guest lectures that expose you to current engineering professional practice
- Recreate interactive real-life scenarios in USC's state-of-the-art visualisation studio and dedicated engineering laboratories

Students must complete 60 days of suitable field experience.
INDIA
- All India Senior School Certificate – awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and and overall First Division results;
or - Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and overall First Division results;
or - State board exams, other than Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB), with a minimum grade average of 65% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results;
or - Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB) exams, with a minimum grade average of 70% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results; and
- All applicants must have at least 50% in the theory component (where applicable) of any subject.
