Advanced Diploma in Film and Television Production

In Humber’s Film and Television Production (FMTV) advanced diploma program, you will gain hands-on experience with production and videography equipment from your first days at school. Industry experts will train you in the skills required for success in the film industry. Find your niche and develop team-building and collaboration skills by working in specialized roles on commercials, documentaries, and short films. A wide variety of filmmaking, editing and cinematography courses will help you achieve well-rounded capabilities and create head-turning work.

At Humber FMTV you will:

- fine-tune film and TV production abilities using industry-standard production equipment in large, well-equipped studios and state-of-the-art video and audio editing suites

- gain valuable experience in every aspect of production including scriptwriting, lighting, direction, shooting, post-production, distribution, and exhibition

- complete your education with training in business and marketing, opportunities to connect with industry professionals, and a final-semester work placement

- premiere your work at high-profile program showcase screenings.

Student films produced in FMTV are regularly selected for a number of leading film festivals including TIFF Top Ten, Hot Docs, Montreal World Film Festival, and Air Canada Enroute.

This program will be offered at the Lakeshore Campus beginning in 2021.
