Bachelor of Professional Accounting (BPA)
The Bachelor of Professional Accounting degree is designed to provide a rigorous accounting education with a careful blend of theory and requirements of professional practice. The degree provides comprehensive training in accounting and business for those wishing to enter the accounting profession. The specialist training in the core professional areas of accounting, finance and law is integrated with an understanding of the broad commercial context relevant to the management and conduct of business. Traditional accounting and finance studies are thus complemented by developing students' competencies in business oriented knowledge and perspectives.
Campus Information
Melbourne Campus
Holmes Melbourne is centrally located opposite Parliament House. Train, tram and bus routes are at our front door. The campus is surrounded by cafes, banking facilities, shops, parks and hotels. It is located in the heart of what is consistently voted one of the most liveable cities in the world: Melbourne Australia. The campus has numerous floors of tutorial and classrooms, auditorium, computing labs, a resource centre and large common and recreational areas and is the head office of the Holmes Group.
Sydney Campus
Sydney - famous for its wonderful harbour, the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge. One of the most beautiful and exciting great cities of the world. It is a cosmopolitan metropolis where art, science, commerce and sport all flourish. Students can enjoy the outdoor life, walks and pristine beaches in easy reach of the city centre.
Brisbane Campus
Holmes Brisbane is located in the central CBD, only minutes from buses, trains and ferries. The college has recently relocated to the central CBD close to the city mall and opposite the new and extensive Winter Garden food court. A medium sized school, Holmes Brisbane like all Holmes campuses is complete with classrooms, resource centre, lecture and tutorial rooms, and excellent computing facilities.
Gold Coast Campus
The Gold Coast, Queensland, is five minutes from paradise and is situated one and a half hours south of Brisbane. The city is fast and pulsating with stunning beaches, sun, action, cafes and restaurants. The Gold Coast experiences life to the fullest. Studying in cosmopolitan Surfers Paridise comes as near to learning in heaven as you can get, with only metres to the beach and a host of Gold Coast activities.

Job Opportunity Potential
The Holmes Institute maintains strong links with all of the major professional accounting bodies in Australia, as well as with professional accountants currently working in practice. Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To satisfy the general entrance requirements for admission to the course, international students must meet at least one of the following entry requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of a level of achievement in Secondary Education in their country of origin equivalent in standing to the VCE/HSC(see table below);
- Satisfactory completion of an approved program of study in their country of origin deemed by VTAC to be the equivalent of a Tertiary Preparation Program or a Foundation Year Program offered by an accredited institution of higher education described in the NOOSR Guidelines;
- Satisfactory completion of one year of full-time study at the post-secondary level in their country of origin at an institute of higher education or its equivalent.
International students must also meet one of the English language requirements below:
- IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. IELTS 5.5 or equivalent for the Diploma of Business Management
- Studied for two years in post-secondary courses that were delivered and assessed in English

- Completion of Senior School Certificate with a grade average of 55%
Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh
- Completion of Higher School Certificate with a grade average of 55%
Sri Lanka
- 2 passes in the GCE ‘A’ Levels
