Armed conflict is a hugely significant aspect of the human condition, and War Studies explores this phenomenon by asking fundamental questions such as what is war, how do wars start, and how do they end? The possession of a war studies award is likely to be particularly applicable to career paths requiring analytical ability and a knowledge of international affairs and security-related issues.
