Ontario College Advanced Diploma BROADCASTING - FILM, TELEVISION, DIGITAL MEDIA AND RADIO
Program Overview
In the Broadcasting - Radio, Television, Film & Digital Media program, you are trained in both the traditional skills of storytelling for the motion picture, television and radio industries as well as multiplatform digital production.
This college media program offered through our School of Communications, Media, Arts and Deisgn in Toronto, prepares you with the creative and technical skills required for success in the time-based media industry. You will learn how to develop and create original story content, as well as how to prepare, manage and carry out the production process to realize a creative vision.
In this advanced diploma program, you :-
- Develop a balance between the artistic and commercial aspects of the industry, and become exposed to a variety of industry practices and players.
- Study and practice techniques for effective storytelling in both the fiction and non-fiction genres, as well as client-based and live-to-air productions.
- Gain technical experience with HD broadcasting studios, digital film, television and multiplatform production.
- Participate in, create and contribute to a wide range of student films, digital video productions and weekly television and multiplatform productions.
- Complete an advanced body of produced work for a professional portfolio.
- Spend 14 weeks in a full-time industry field placement.

Job Opportunity Potential
Centennial College was the first publicly funded college in Ontario, and opened its doors in 1966

Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP):
Graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Desire to stay in Canada temporarily for work.
Important Note:
Graduating from a DLI doesn't automatically qualify you for a PGWP.
Validity of PGWP:
Depends on the length of the study program or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.
Duration of PGWP Based on Study Program Length:
Less than 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials): Not eligible for PGWP.
At least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials), but less than 2 years: PGWP may be granted for the same length as the study program (e.g., a 9-month program results in a 9-month PGWP).
2 years or more: PGWP may be valid for 3 years.
Completion of Multiple Programs:
PGWP may combine the lengths of each program if:
Each program is PGWP eligible.
Each program is at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials) in length.
Important Restriction:
You cannot obtain a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier program of study.
