BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - Accounting

The Business Administration program is designed to help you understand how businesses function. Learn the business basics, specialize in your chosen area of interest, then connect the dots with a strategic approach. The program starts with ten common courses, typically taken in Year 1. These courses provide the basis of your business knowledge and will assist you to identify your strengths and select your specialization as you finish your first year.

In the second year, you'll specialize in one of the following areas:

• Accounting
• Financial Services
• Human Resource Management
• Marketing

Please choose your specialization when you apply to the program.
These specializations allow you to focus your career path. Six of the ten year two courses will be directly related to your
specialization. The remaining four courses in year two help you to bring it all together in a holistic manner.

Accounting
The Accounting specialization focuses on accounting and finance courses relevant to for-profit business. Accounting graduates often continue their education to attain an accounting designation. Careers with a variety of public and private sector organizations offer abundant opportunities for placement and advancement. 

Year one and year two of the Business Administration Accounting Specialization are offered on campus in both Brandon and Dauphin.
