BA (hnrs) in PSYCHOLOGY

Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) work in the fields of mental health, developmental challenges and rehabilitation and recovery with individuals, families, groups, or communities. Brandon University’s Faculty of Health Studies and The University of Winnipeg have teamed up to offer a dynamic program in Psychiatric Nursing. Students in the program take some UWinnipeg courses, as well as mostly Brandon University courses, which are taught primarily in classrooms in Winnipeg (in the lower level of the Rice Centre, 491 Portage Avenue). A few courses are offered through distance education, either through internet or video-conferencing link with Brandon University. This program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (BScPN) from Brandon University in four years -- all of which may be completed in Winnipeg. Graduates are eligible to write qualifying examinations for licensure as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba
