Master of Philosophy
This is your opportunity to expose yourself to an intensive research environment. You will develop expertise in research and learn the concepts, methods, and skills required to apply knowledge with creativity and initiative to new situations. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is awarded on the basis of an independent supervised study that produces a substantial piece of research as judged by independent experts of international standing.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirements for admission to a Masters (Research) program are:
- a Bachelor Honours Degree with at least Class IIB (AQF Level 8) from an Australian higher education institution; or
- a postgraduate degree (AQF Level 8) incorporating a significant research component with
- a grade of 5 on the 7-point Griffith University scale and an overall GPA of 5 on the 7-point scale; or
- a qualification, or qualification and additional demonstrable experience that is deemed by the Dean, Griffith Graduate Research School to be of a standard comparable to a Bachelor Honours Degree with Class IIB.
