What is unique about this program at the U of M?
Highlights about specific program and what differentiates it from other universities and colleges. We have specialists in the traditional fields of literary history, but we also strive to renew our offerings by creating theme-related courses, such as women's autobiographical writing in the Ancien Régime, the great classics of world literature, the meaning of life in Beauvoir's writing. We promote interdisciplinary thinking in courses such as literature and medicine, and French existentialist psychotherapy.
