Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design

If you love combining visual communication and problem solving, then study CUA60315 Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. This course will help you become a well-rounded designer who can work in environments ranging from design houses to advertising studios, to personal business, freelance or partnerships. This course focuses heavily on the practical nature of design and replicates a real design workplace by using Mac computers and Adobe Creative Cloud software.

The Advanced Diploma also integrates live briefs with real clients to deepen the student experience and practical skills. Industry visits and guest speakers are also undertaken throughout the year and adds value to your knowledge and understanding of what is expected with the design industry.

Throughout this final year, you will be able to choose from two specialist streams – User Experience Design or Illustration. Students undertake common core units and then specialise in either of the electives choices for these two streams. The goal of this course is to develop a stunning portfolio which culminates in the end-of-year grad show. The grad show is the highlight of the year and is attended by employers, suppliers and local design industry guests. Students demonstrating excellence are externally judged by experts and specialists within the design industry and awarded and celebrated.
