Diploma of Building Design
If you want to further your designing career in the building and construction industry then the CPP50911 Diploma of Building Design will certainly help you achieve your goals. This course builds on the skills you obtained in 52757WA Certificate IV in Residential Drafting and provides more drafting and design experience in ArchiCAD and Revit software for residential and small-scale building projects.
You will also learn to produce cost estimates, prepare concept designs and specifications, produce 3-D models, create client-approved designs and drawings that are industry compliant, and research the best construction materials and methods to use for construction projects. During the course, you will also cover the principles of energy-efficient design and sustainability for design projects whilst maintaining health and safety requirements for this booming industry.
When you complete this course, you will have the knowledge to work in design offices on commercial and residential projects with architects, builders, and project managers.
