M2 Strategic Studies, Security & Defence Policies

Analyse the recent development of strategic policies and their confrontation with the challenges our societies are coming up against. This pathway is aimed at discussing major issues such as power relationships, crisis management or defence investment control in an upset international context. Special attention is paid to the impact of ‘digital transformation’ and to cybersecurity. This year of studies is structured to train future executives on key defence and security challenges and provides them with knowledge ranging from history essentials to the analysis of the new strategic environment both at the national and international levels. Besides the traditional components (Land, Sea, Air, Space), students will focus on the all-encompassing notion of digital space. The cybersecurity course is taught in partnership with ECE Paris, INSEEC U’s Graduate School of Engineering. This programme is part of HYIP's Master’s Degree studies. It can lead to a Double Degree with London Metropolitan University. The programme under the supervision of Jean-Marc Journot (Air Chief Marshal)
