Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence Engineering (Honours)

Explore how artificial intelligence is transforming engineering across health, manufacturing, robotics and industry with La Trobe's Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence Engineering (Honours).

In this degree, you will combine engineering design, AI software, embedded sensing, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, cloud data and automation.

In third year, you will complete an industry management project, where you will investigate a real-world problem, develop a requirements-driven solution and present your solution to an industry client. Then, in fourth year, you will complete a thesis to apply your research, design and technical skills to an artificial intelligence engineering problem.
You can tailor your degree through minors in manufacturing, co-designed with Cisco in software-defined manufacturing; or medical applications, developed in collaboration with La Trobe's Australian Centre for AI in Medical Innovation (ACAMI). You also have the choice to complete industry-based learning, AI innovation ventures, or four electives.
